Privacy policy

When you submit the launch-interest form we store your name, email address, and — if you choose to provide them — your business name and phone number. We also store which option you selected (new merchant, switching providers, or partner opportunities), the date and wording of the consent you gave, and the page that referred you.

We do not collect passwords, tax identifiers, bank details, identification documents, processing statements, card or payment information, or file attachments through this form. Merchant onboarding is not open, so no application data is being collected.

Solely to contact you about the Michigan Pay launch and, where you asked about partner opportunities, to discuss that. We do not sell your details, and we do not add you to unrelated marketing.

Your details are saved in our database first. We then queue an acknowledgement to you and a notification to our own team. Email is sent through a third-party email delivery provider. If email delivery fails, your entry is still recorded and our team can see and retry it.

Our application, database and file storage run on Supabase infrastructure. Email delivery uses a third-party transactional email provider. These providers process your details on our instructions only.

Launch-interest records are not readable by the public or by ordinary signed-in users. Access is restricted at the database level to authorised Michigan Pay staff, and staff notes and exports are restricted the same way.

We keep launch-interest entries for up to 12 months from the date you submit them, or until you ask us to remove them — whichever comes first. Entries we have contacted and taken forward are kept as part of that conversation. You can opt out at any time using the link in any email we send you, or by contacting us. Opting out stops future launch emails and marks your entry as archived; you can also ask us to delete it entirely.

Michigan Pay does not currently process payments and does not hold cardholder data. This policy covers the pre-launch website only and will be replaced with a full merchant privacy policy before onboarding opens.
